One True God

One of the biggest lies the enemy is using today is that it is okay to worship any god; we need to be inclusive of all people and religions. The world is continually labeling the church as bigoted and hateful when we reject false religions and false gods. But the Bible is VERY clear. There is only one true God.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. -1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV)

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. - Ephesians 4:6 (NIV)

As believers, we cannot go along with the lie that all religions are good and equal. To do so is condemning people to a life in Hell.

Jesus is the one way to Heaven (John 14:6). We are not hateful or bigoted when we say this; we are actually loving. It kills me to think about people devoting their lives to worshiping a god who cannot save them from their sins. It makes me so sad to think about how devastated a devout follower of another religion must be when they die and face their judgment. They were deceived, but they truly believed it and followed the teaching to a “t”, only to find it was for naught because it was a false religion. That is so sad, so heartbreaking.

We cannot go along with this teaching that all roads, all religions, lead to Heaven. It simply isn’t true. It isn’t loving or kind to do this. The truth is there is only one way, and it is Jesus.

Memory Verse: Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3, NIV)
