Bobby Basham

Men's Ministry Director, Potomac Ministry Network

Bobby Basham grew up in the ministry in the Appalachian District, being a third generational Pentecostal preacher. Having begun his education in Mining Engineering in southwest Virginia, receiving a full scholarship, God began to deal with his heart leading him out of the mining industry and began ministry at age 19. He then entered Southeastern University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry.

During this time he traveled as an Evangelist throughout the Appalachian district and upon graduation, joined Rockville Assembly of God in the Potomac District, as Associate and Youth pastor. After over four years of ministry there, Bobby accepted the call to be the Lead Pastor at Hayfield Assembly of God, a congregation he served for 17 years with marked growth and support for Missions.

During the time he also served as Men’s Director for the Section, then Light for the Lost Director for the Northern region of the district and then in 2009, was asked to become the Potomac District's first full-time Men’s Director where he oversees Men’s Ministries, Potomac Royal Rangers, Extreme Makeovers, and the Media Ministries for the District. He has ministered overseas in several countries, lead numerous construction projects and has preached throughout the Potomac and Appalachian districts.

Bobby lives outside of Winchester, Virginia with his wife, Gina, of over 28 years and their four sons. He enjoys the outdoors, sports, motorcycle riding and most of all seeing God change lives.
